Fall Meeting to Take Place in San Francisco on November 1

Lunch on your own + time to view California Historical Society’s current exhibition in the gallery Native Portraits: Contemporary Tintypes by Ed Drew and pop into local galleries

Librarian/Archivist Elspeth Olson will share some favorite items from the library’s collection. In addition, there will be time to explore the new exhibition Books and Mud: The Drowned Libraries of Florence

  • Thursday, October 27 at 6pm. Come mingle with a few chapter members at the Metropolitan Club. We'll be attending San Francisco Heritage's lecture: Bliss & Faville: Architecture and the Profession in Early 20th Century San Francisco
  • Thursday, November 17, 6-8pm. Happy Hour Book Club: Sally Mann's Hold Still: A Memoir with Photographs. Location TBD but in San Francisco.
  • Wednesday, 6-7:30pm. Mills College Library Director and Special Collections Curator, Janice Braun, offered to lead a tour of the Patti Smith: Root Connection: 20 Years of The Patti Smith Collection and Shinichi Iova-Koga: The 96th Ritual (for Anna Halprin) at Mills College Art Museum RSVP to Mary by October 21 to determine best date.
